GreenState AG is a Swiss 360 Modular and Vertical Farming company that is devoted to all facets of indoor farming. Our technical solutions center on hardware and software solutions which are closely related to conventional farming, particularly when it comes to converting conventional farming know-how into "Digital Recipes" by utilizing Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.
Flagship farm in Neuhausen am Rheinfall
Our first modular and vertical farm in Neuhausen was successfully built 12 months after the company was founded. The solution was developed as a pilot project with the aim of "proof of concept". The hardware modules are built according to the "Lego" principle, where we use steel frames and insulation plates of 4 cm.
For the complete solution, we used only industrial products, including chillers for cooling, heat pumps for heating, electrical cabinets for power supply and PLC systems for cloud communication.
In addition, we were able to simulate many different microclimates as we achieved a temperature range of -25 to +60 °C.
So far, we have successfully grown many different agricultural products, such as: Basil, Microgreens, Iceberg Lettuce, Chilly, and other plants.
From Farm to Cloud and Beyond
GreenState AG is the creator and developer of the concept "From Farm to Cloud and Beyond", which aims to create an open-source digital agriculture where many universities and research institutions can participate in the development of Big Data, Internet of Things of Big Data, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence for AgTech.
So far, GreenState Ag has developed the architecture and base system for future expansion.
The current solution of GreenState AG in Neuhausen is based on the IoT and AI solution, using humans only to monitor and control the system. Farm management and microclimate cre

At GreenState AG, we take the implementation of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector very seriously.
So far, we have developed two digital recipes based on artificial intelligence solutions.
At the moment, GreenState AG's software system can grow basil and microgreens based on the data we have collected in our dedicated cloud.
At the moment, we collect data and manage industrial machines and hardware computers, but our goal is to reach automation 5.0 and combine human know-how with AI.
Right now we are building a system where the data center collects data from agronomists working on the farm and combines this data with data from industrial machines, sensors and campers installed on the farm.
